A round, ridged edges, golden brown, baked pie crust filled with a tomato-based stew of tender diced beef that is slow-cooked to bring out that richness in its dark orangey red sauce that is a bit sour, salty with hint of spiciness and sweetness. The cubed potatoes, carrots and bell peppers are tender but not mushy and compliments the richness of the sauce and the crust. More Caldereta sauce is poured over the pie and topped with whole green peas to balance out the taste complimented by a handful of crisp, salted potato chips on the side.
